At Luxury Orthopaedic Beds Ltd, we aim to provide an affordable and reliable delivery solution for all our customers, ensuring you receive your new bed hassle-free. We understand that many customers purchase sight unseen, so we strive to make the process as smooth as possible.

If your location falls outside the areas covered by our third-party freight provider, we will do our best to work with you to find an alternative delivery solution. Please reach out to our team, and we’ll explore all available options to get your order to you.

Where can you deliver to?

We deliver to most areas of the North Island and have recently expanded to select locations in the South Island. If your address isn't listed in our standard delivery areas, please contact us to discuss available options and associated costs.

Do you delvier to the South Island?

Yes! We now deliver to a large range of areas in the South Island. Delivery rates vary by location—please contact us to confirm costs and availability.

What if my address is rural?

We cover a large range of rural areas across New Zealand, and most are included under standard urban delivery rates. However, if your location is quite rural, additional fees may apply. Most areas will automatically provide a delivery cost at checkout, but if your area isn’t recognized, please contact us, and we will review the best delivery option for you.

What if my address is not listed in your delivery locations?

We strive to accommodate as many locations as possible. If your address isn’t listed, please contact us, and we’ll work with you to find a suitable delivery solution.

How much does delviery cost?

Delivery fees can vary by region, please see above for a general reakdown of most delivery areas. Additional charges may apply for rural or coastal areas. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. If your address is not calculated, please contact our team directly for coverage and costs.

Is the delivery cost per bed if i order multiple beds?

Our third-party freight provider does charge for each individual bed. For orders of multiple beds a discounted rate is applied, and calculated at checkout. If you have any questions regarding this discounted rate, please contact us directly.

How long will my delivery take?

After processing your order, delivery typically occurs within 4–10 business days, depending on your location. For specific delivery timelines, feel free to reach out to us.

How will I be informed about my delivery schedule?

Deliveries are coordinated through a third-party freight company. Dependant on your area, we may be able to provide an exact delivery date at time of delivery. If your delivery has been for a particular week. You'll receive a confirmation email from us on the Monday prior to your expected delivery week, detailing the exact delivery day. In some cases we may not be able to provide an exact delivery date, however a timeline will be provided and the freight company will be in touch directly with the updated details.

Does someone need to be home to accept the delivery?

We recommend someone be home to accept the delivery, as in some cases, there may only be one driver, and due to the size of the products, assistance may be required. However, if this isn’t feasible, and you have a safe and secure place where we can leave your order, please let us know in advance. In most cases, we can arrange a safe drop-off for you.

Will I need to assist the driver with my delivery?

As deliveries are managed by a third-party freight company, we recommend having someone available to assist the driver with unloading to prevent any potential damage to your new bed. In some cases, there may only be one driver, and due to the size of the products, assistance may be required.

What if my property is not easy to access?

Our third-party freight providers operate across NZ and are experienced in navigating challenging delivery locations. If you have concerns about narrow driveways, steep access, or other obstacles, please let us know in advance. We will do our best to work with you and the freight provider to ensure a smooth delivery.

What if I live in an Apartment?

Great question! Many of our customers require delivery to apartments, which is no problem at all. However, to ensure a smooth delivery, we recommend notifying our freight provider in advance.

  • Depending on access and location, additional fees may apply if extra time or manpower is required.
  • Freight providers will aim to deliver to your apartments front door, so you won’t need to worry about getting your bed inside.
  • Please note: Our products come 95% assembled, so consider this when selecting your bed. For example, if purchasing a Queen bed, you may want to opt for a split base to make moving it into your apartment easier.
what if I need to change my delivery date or address?

No worries at all! We can alter your delivery address, date, or contact details up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery. In most cases, this will not affect your delivery timeline. Just reach out to our team, and we’ll be happy to make the changes for you.

How is my bed packaged for delivery?

All mattresses, bases, and headboards are wrapped in protective plastic to help prevent damage during transit. However, we do not recommend leaving them in wet conditions, even when wrapped . If you won’t be home, please provide instructions for a safe, weather-protected drop-off location (it is important to note, leaving these in direct sunlight is not recommended as it can cause condensation on the inside of the plastic wrapping).

Can I schedule my delivery for a future date?

Yes! We offer flexible delivery scheduling and can hold your order until you’re ready to receive it. If you need a specific future delivery date, please contact us to arrange this.

Will they take this into the bedroom for me?

Like most freight companies, our third-party providers default to front-door delivery to respect customers’ privacy. However, if you need assistance moving your bed into your bedroom, please let our team know—we can work with the freight provider to arrange this.

In some cases, additional fees may apply for inside delivery.

  • If your bedroom is not on the ground floor or has difficult access, the freight provider may refuse to assist if they feel there is a risk of damage to your product or property.
Does delivery include installation and setup?

No, our standard delivery service does not include setup or installation. The freight provider will deliver your items to your front door only. However if you do require assitance with setup or having the item moved into a specific location, please let us know and we will enquire about this option for your (additional fees may apply).

Do they take the old bed away?

Yes, in some cases, we can arrange removal and disposal of your old bed.

However, please note:

  • Our third-party freight provider charges a $150 disposal and removal fee.
  • Not all areas are covered, so availability depends on your location.
  • This option may not be suitable for everyone, as removal logistics vary by region.

    If bed removal is a concern for you, please contact our team, and we’ll do our best to help find an alternative solution that works for you.
Can you deliver to Waiheke Island?

Whilst we cannot arrange direct delivery via our freight provider. We can arrange delivery to Waiheke Movers in East Tamaki, who you can arrange to transport it to your Waiheke address. Please contact us for details and pricing.

Can you deliver to the Cook Islands? 

Whilst we cannot arrange direct delivery to the Cook Islands, we have regular customers shipping our beds to the cook islands. Our designated freight company can deliver your bed to a designated freight forwarding address. You will need to arrange delivery to your address through a cook islands freight provider. Previous customers have arranged this through Classic PAC & International Travel Ltd East Tamaki.
